| The e-Learning Service Certification can provide organizations and institutes that implement e-learning or provide e-learning services with related instructions and references for e-learning; namely services such as Learner support, Instructor support, Program development, Course design, Instructional process, Organizational support, Technology, and Evaluation. |

Furthermore, in order to support and encourage current development of the e-learning industry in Taiwan, the standard divides the quality certification for e-learning service into “Certification for Learning Unit Service Quality”, “Certification for Course Service Quality” and “Certification for Program Service Quality”, which apply to different types of e-learning services provided by various organizations. |
